Shelby County Health Director Audrey Gough reported that things are going well with dealing with COVID-19 in Shelby County.
“Our numbers are down for cases. We have five active cases now and 650 people total have been positive in Shelby County We have two currently in the hospital and have had 10 deaths.”
“We are working on second dose clinics. We did 380 doses last Thursday and 200 for this week, and 200 for another second dose after that,” she said.
Gough said the doses have slowed down. “Now they are basing it on the percentage of the population in a community who has not been served.”
She said people can get on the lists at Johnston Drug in Clarence, Wal-Mart, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreen, Sam’s Club and Hi-Vee, which are the most prevalent in this area.
“I would encourage people to not let their guard down even though they may have had their shots. Wear mask, wash hands and try to avoid getting sick,” she said.
