Second Round of Testing at Salt River Community Care Show No Additional Cases With One Result Still Pending

August 06, 2020

The results of the second round of testing at the Salt River Community Care in Shelbina for COVID-19 have all come back negative, with one result still yet to return.

According to Salt River Community Care Director Chris Ratliff, the second round of testing was for those who had tested negative the first time. "We didn't re-test those who came back positive last week, we re-tested those who were negative to make sure they were still negative," she said. Ratliff added that they are still waiting on the return of the results of one employee.

This comes just a week after the Shelby County Health Department and Salt River Community Care both announced that the facility had 15 new positive cases involving residents and employees. She was happy with the results that there were no additional people found with positive results.
