JV Cardinals Win Monroe City Tournament, Continue Perfect Season

The South Shelby J.V. Boys team defeated Centralia Saturday in the Championship game of the Monroe City Junior Varsity Tournament. With that win and their win over Palmyra on Monday night, they improved their record to 12-0 on the season. A house fire just before midnight Wednesday destroyed the home of Curtis Jackson. The fire was a total loss and resulted in minor injuries to one person who was in the home at the time of the fire. The Shelbina Fire Protection District and mutual aid from other agencies were on hand until 6:30 a.m. Thursday. Submitted Photo
House Fire Results in a Total Loss in Shelbina
The annual bus inspections by the Missouri State Highway Patrol took place at South Shelby High School on Tuesday. According to Transporation Director Curt Bowen, the District scored a 100 percent with the Patrol on the inspections. This is the fourth time in a row that the District has had a perfect scored on the inspections.
