Driver Escapes Injury in One-Vehicle Accident

A semi tractor-trailer that was traveling east on US 36 less than a mile east of Lakenan apparently lost control in the rainy conditions coming to rest in the median just after 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, there were no injuries as a result of the accident. House Fire Results in a Total Loss in Shelbina
The annual bus inspections by the Missouri State Highway Patrol took place at South Shelby High School on Tuesday. According to Transporation Director Curt Bowen, the District scored a 100 percent with the Patrol on the inspections. This is the fourth time in a row that the District has had a perfect scored on the inspections.
