The annual South Shelby FCCLA Breakfast with Santa was held Saturday morning in the high school commons area. It was an exciting time for kids from all over the area to visit with Santa Claus and tell him what they want for Christmas. They also had several craft activities going on. Pictured above is Jayden Holman (son of Steven and Ferron Holman and grandson of Chris and Ruthie Wise) between two of Santa’s elves, Emma Gough (left) and Brennah Collins.   8528 1649 12/7/2016 hdl

The Prairie 4-H Club decorated the Shelbina Carnegie Library Park on Thanksgiving weekend. The club has been decorating this park for Christmas for many years. This is the first year that we put up a laser light projector on the library. Carlene Waack let the club use her nativity as part of the decorations again this year. And we put up a Christmas tree in the bandstand and put lights on other trees and put out big candy canes. Also new this year is the “MERRY CHRISTMAS” sign by the sidewalk in front of the library.
